Working with athletes to develop, refine and integrate mental skills. Goal setting, motivation and imagery development and implementation.

Physiological

Working with athlete to set up training structures and environments to optimize performance.

Nutritional

Other

I can provide a unique advantage to athletes as I have the ability to assist on and off the water in coach and training/tuning partner positions.

One of the most important aspects in performance at elite level is a regular intense and competitive training environment.

It is clear that athletes who are pushed to their maximum in training on a consistent basis adapt (survival) thereby increasing the ability to perform at higher levels when in racing situations.

Training

I am able to create a very intensive and competitive training environment by directly training with athletes and pushing them on a consistent basis.

Training partnership with Dorian van Rijsselberghe (Gold) and Zac Plavsic (8th) to finish 7th in the 2012 Olympic Games with all three sailors placing in the top eight.

Coach

I am acutely aware of a competing sailors requirements, I am able to quickly asses situations and eliminate external stresses allowing athletes to focus on the task of performing at their optimal level. I coached at the 2008 Olympic Games along with assisting numerous athletes with their preparations the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games and the Athens 2004 Olympic Games.
